The #1 Secret Most AI Gurus Don't Want You To Know
Mar 10, 2025Here's the Harsh Truth
AI isn't the silver bullet.
I've had some conversations this past week, and it became clear:
Some people think AI is gonna save them.
NEWS FLASH...
It's not.
Weird to hear, right? Especially coming from me—I mean, I've only been preaching that everyone should use it for the past two years.
But let me not knock AI too much, because yes, it can help with almost every part of your business.
AI today is kinda like a VA or cyberbacker.
Just like a VA:
- If AI isn't trained, well then it sucks.
- If you train AI, well then it becomes your best friend, allowing you to finish work that used to take weeks, in minutes.
Where Most People Get It Wrong
When you hire a VA, you don't expect them to run your business for you.
But most people start using AI and do the complete opposite.
They want AI to do literally everything for them—they treat AI like it's some lottery ticket:
Like if I start using AI, my business is going to triple overnight, and listings will come knocking at my door.
No! That's not the case at all.
AI is an amplifier and a time saver at best.
For example, if you currently focus on social media, it’ll help you create more content in a fraction of the time, energy, & effort it used to take.
But here's the catch:
If you suck at social media, AI won't transform you into a master-level marketer; it'll just help you put out more terrible content.
Sorry if that sounds harsh.
But I want to reset your expectation of AI because disappointment only comes from unmet expectations.
Another Example
Let's say you're currently closing 10 deals a year without using AI.
AI will help you do that while working fewer hours.
Whatever you decide to do with that free time, it's entirely up to you.
If it's more lead gen & lead follow up, then your business will most likely grow.
But AI didn't grow your business—YOU did.
AI freed up your time so you can focus on the 20%.
Quick newsletter today, but necessary.
I apologize if I, in any way, contributed to the unrealistic hype around AI.
From here on out, I will do my best to be clear about the benefits.
One Last Analogy
Think of AI kinda like gasoline to a fire.
- If you're good at what you do, it'll make you even better.
- If you suck, welllllllllll... it’ll make you even worse.
So focus on getting good first, then pour the gasoline.
