Master ChatGPT in 2025: Top 4 Features and How to Use Them Like a Pro
Dec 16, 2024The best way to leverage ChatGPT in 2025 is to use its advanced features. ChatGPT has released a ton of new updates over the past year, and I'm going to share the top 4 updates and use cases for each. That way, you can start leveraging AI like a pro—even if you're not tech-savvy.
1. Memory Feature
ChatGPT is trained on over a trillion data points, but it's not trained on you. If you want to get more personalized and less robotic responses, you have to use this feature.
How to Enable Memory:
- Next time you log into ChatGPT on your computer:
- Click on the profile icon in the top right corner.
- Click Settings.
- Click Personalization.
- Make sure Memory is on.
With memory enabled, you can reference back to old conversations, so you're not wasting hours trying to remind ChatGPT of past interactions.
2. ChatGPT Search
Back in 2023, there were plugins you needed to connect to the internet. Around March, plugins were removed, and we lost access to any conversations that used them. However, a couple of months ago, OpenAI announced that you can now search the internet using ChatGPT.
Example Use Case: Let's say the FED just dropped the interest rate by one point. You could ask ChatGPT to:
- Read the latest articles.
- Summarize them.
- Create a video script for you.
All within a few minutes!
3. Attach Files
This feature sounds pretty basic, but OpenAI went above and beyond.
Capabilities:
- You can upload files directly from your computer.
- Connect your Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive to ChatGPT.
Example Use Case: I helped my friend Joey build an AI Real Estate Coach trained on all the principles in the MREA book. Instead of spending thousands of dollars per month on a MAPs coach, he can use ChatGPT for just $20 a month.
4. Advanced Voice Mode
It's kinda like Siri or Alexa but supercharged. You can talk to ChatGPT as if it were a person, and it'll respond back. Just a couple of hours ago, OpenAI announced a new video call feature—you can now hop on a video call with ChatGPT.
Example Use Case: Imagine you're standing in front of your brand-new listing. You can FaceTime ChatGPT, show it the house, and ask it to generate a listing description based on what it sees.
Top Two Features to Look Forward to in 2025
1. Sora
Sora is OpenAI's text-to-video generator. Another word for video is motion picture because each frame is pretty much a photo. OpenAI built DALL-E, a text-to-image generator, and has improved it a ton. Sora leverages all this data from people using DALL-E to now train this new model.
Availability:
- It has been exclusive to big movie producers, videographers, and similar professionals.
- The beta is now available for Plus users.
2. Apple Intelligence
Earlier this year, ChatGPT announced a partnership with Apple. Apple Intelligence is its own AI model, now integrated with ChatGPT.
How It Works:
- Available for newer Apple devices.
- If you want to ask Siri for something, you can connect your iPhone, iPad, or Mac to your ChatGPT account.
- Siri will then use the power of ChatGPT to respond.
OpenAI is currently running their 12 Days of OpenAI series, where they share what they're working on and release new products/updates.
I'm going to go through it all, and next week I'll share the best of it.
In the meantime, which one of these features are you most excited for?
And if you're already using them, which one has been the most helpful?
